Wirrkala Mouth-Blown Bottles
Mouth-blown bottle crowned with a simple strand of glass around the neck. The bottle makes for a beautiful interior design element and art object that also works well as a carafe or vase for a single flower.
To mark the 100 years since the birth of designer Tapio Wirrkala, iittala is highlighting some of the objects Wirrkala designed for everyday use as well as some rare short form series of his work. iittala is returning Wirkkala's mouth-blown bottles to production for 2015 only. The bottles were originally in production between 1959 and 1968.
These bottles will bear an engraving to mark the centenary and they will only be available in 2015.
