This teaware is made in Hasami village in Nagasaki prefecture, where a tradition of ceramic and porcelain production dates back over 400 years. The white porcelain has the faintest tint of blue, a characteristic of being made in the Hasami region of Japan. Slight variations in the porcelain are expected due to the handmade nature of this item.
