Doug Ross began making fine art silkscreen prints in 2005 at his home studio in Santa Cruz, CA. Highly stylized land and sea creatures are abundant in his work, filtered through his graphic design training and influence from the Modernist design movement. Before embarking on his career as a fine artist, Doug was a freelance illustrator for national publications and graphic designer. Doug's experience in the commercial side of image production paved the way for innovative techniques combining digital technology with traditional printmaking methods.
