Acacia is a San Francisco shop devoted to objects that earn their place in your home — things made well, designed simply, and meant to last.

We opened our doors in 2014 on Valencia Street, sharing a small storefront with another local business and operating very much on hope and instinct. It was a second act — a leap of faith — built around something that became clearer with every piece I considered: that everyday objects can be beautiful.

From the beginning, we've been drawn to things with clean lines, considered materials, and a sure sense of purpose. Not objects that shout for attention, but ones that reveal themselves slowly — the weight of a ceramic mug, the grain of a wooden tray, the quiet satisfaction of an object where material, color, and function come together in just the right way.

Today, Acacia is at home in a spacious, open store at Three Embarcadero Center in San Francisco — a calm, unhurried space where you can take your time and get a real sense of how something might live in your home. We work with everyone from individual makers to well-established independent brands, carrying goods for the home and for everyday life — from Japanese porcelain and American-made stoneware to stationery, bath, and gifts for people (and pets) you love.

We've chosen every piece in the store ourselves and love helping you think through what might work in your space — the right piece for a room, a gift that actually fits the person, or just thinking out loud about what you're looking for.
