This gift box of incense matches is the perfect introduction to Hibi, containing a sampler of 12 scents: Japanese Cypress, Osmanthus, Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Yuzu, Sandalwood, Ambergris, Oak Moss, Cedar Wood, Japanese Wisteria, Peony, and Geranium.

Burn a Hibi incense match for an aromatherapy session wherever you are, whether at home or on the go.  Each Hibi match lasts for about ten minutes and everything you need is inside a palm-sized box: incense match, strike strip, and a wool burning pad.

'Hibi' means ‘day to day’, or daily, in Japanese. The name was chosen with the hope that you would keep it with you every day and freely enjoy its fragrance anywhere, matching each day’s mood or occasion.

Each fragrance box contains 8 matches. Approximately 10 minutes of burn time. Scent lingers for about 30 minutes or more.

Tips for use: Hold incense match a little closer to the tip than you might with a wood match and strike gently in a straight line, taking care not to burn yourself. Let flame reach the incense stick, blow out the flame and place it on the included pad. If a match breaks, both halves can still be lit and enjoyed.

Hibi is the marriage of two traditional industries in the Harima region of Awaji island, where matches and incense have been produced for nearly 150 years. It took three years of trial and error before an aromatic product with properties of strength and fragrance was developed.

Each of the fragrances derives from herbs grown by a local incense producer using traditional methods.
